Located in a former U.S. elegant and historically significant mansion, This magnificent chateau overlooked Lake Michigan and was once owned by Vice President Charles Gates Dawes. People who are interested in history explore this National Historic Landmark and appreciate the original furnishings and artwork that are still present. Exhibits at the home center on the history of Evanston and its surrounding area. Skokie Northshore Sculpture is a great place to visit with your children.
